Hello Akron Flyers!

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Akron Elementary School! It’s a joy to welcome back returning families and extend a warm greeting to those joining us for the first time. We are proud to be part of Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation, where our mission remains strong: TVSC is dedicated to fostering student success through the development of character, leadership, and literacy.

Our vision is simple yet powerful: we strive to do whatever it takes to prepare all students to excel – today, tomorrow, and in the future. This commitment shapes the work we do each day—whether in classrooms, hallways, or on the playground—as we help our students grow both academically and personally.

This year brings an exciting milestone for our school as we begin implementing a brand new reading curriculum designed to build strong foundational skills and deepen student understanding of the English language. This shift will support our continued focus on literacy and help ensure every student becomes a confident, capable reader. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare for this transition, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on our students’ growth and achievement.

At Akron Elementary, we continue to prioritize a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their highest potential. From nurturing a love of reading to sparking curiosity in STEM through Project Lead the Way, we are proud to offer learning opportunities that inspire and challenge all students.
